This Calls for a Celebration!

The ugly and hateful Proposition 8 was ruled unconstitutional in California, reinstating marriage equality in my home state. Yeay! California Attorney General Kamala Harris summed it up nicely:

“Today’s ruling is a victory for fairness, a victory for equality and a victory for justice.”

Also, Washington is likely to soon become the 7th state in the US to legally enforce marriage equality. Washington will join Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont in leading the way towards legal equality. Washington DC., Oregon’s Coquille Tribe and Washington state’s Suquamish Tribe are also locations within the US where marriage equality is law.

In other news… Feminist Activism hit 100,000 today!!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible. I am overjoyed!
